Today is the day after Thanksgiving. A very laid back day after a wonderful day with my youngest son, Sam, and I having our Thanksgiving lunch at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. Absolutely beautiful setting with lots of trails and quite a bit of entertainment throughout the meal. Our reservations were a little bungled by the waitress and lasted all of one minute ~ so for the inconvenience, the Hyatt sent over a bottle of Champagne. We proceeded to make our own mimosas and having a good time catching up with family news, friend news and job news. Then it was back home for an afternoon nap followed by the Movie "The Wedding" which he had not seen of his brother's wedding since he was standing in the back being a very good Usher. We ended the day with our all time fav show "Grey's Anatomy" and it was off to bed. Really must get out to exercise some time this week-end. I think I consumed more calories on Thanksigiving than I've had all year. I even had a little cheesecake dessert.

Sam

This is my son Sam - he's my youngest of my two gorgeous guys. They are as different as night and day, salt and pepper and have been the absolute light of my life. Some of the things they do have in common (besides their love of Mom, of course) is: love of cars, beautiful blue eyes and their love of Mamaw's cream cheese cake. There are days that I think each look exactly like their handsome Dad and other days I think...no, that's definitely my trait. Truth is...it's a combination of both and it makes for two handsome sons that are generous, thoughtful and have never caused a moment's trouble. Sam is a Baylor Bear and now works for HP and Steven is a Howard Payne Yellow Jacket and now a High School Baseball Coach. Now I have the most beautiful daughter-in-law, Lauren, married to Steven on 7.07.07 ~ there's no doubt that sometime in the future I'm going to have "Hollywood grandchildren." My life is blessed!
